How to install your eSIM

Get ready

Make sure you have:

1. QR code handy (sent to your email)
2. Your iPhone or iPad is connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network.

Scan the QR Code

1. Open the Camera app and scan the QR Code.
2. A pop-up will appear saying "Cellular Plan detected" (in your native language)
3. Tap this button.

Add and activate the plan

1. Your iPhone will walk you through the process of adding the eSim. Follow the steps.
2. Hit 'Continue' when your iPhone asks you to confirm.
3. Your iPhone will ask you to give the new eSim a label. You can do so if you like. You can choose the preset labels ("business", "personal","secondary") or add your own.
4. When finished, hit "done".
5. Your eSim will be automatically activated.

Final step - Activate roaming

1. Go to Settings > Mobile Data (or Cellular on some models).
2. Tap the eSim you just added
3. Scroll down and activate Data Roaming

Note: Don't worry, the Roaming setting won't cost you anything. Our eSim will only use data in the country it's destined for. However, this setting needs to be activated.

Once you've arrived at your destination

You need to set your new eSim as default device for your internet connection.

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Mobile Data (on some models, this is called Cellular)
3. Set the setting 'Mobile Data' to the eSim you just activated.

Get ready

Make sure you have

1. The SMDP+ and Activation code handy, these are sent to your email.
2. Your iPhone or iPad is connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network.

Add and activate the eSIM

2. Go to Mobile Data (on some models, it's called Cellular).
3. Tap Add Mobile Plan.
4. Select the option to Enter Details Manually.
5. Input the SMDP+ address and activation code.
6. Your iPhone will walk you through the process of adding the eSIM. Follow the on-screen steps.
7. When your iPhone asks you to confirm the activation, tap Continue.
8. Your iPhone will ask you to give your new eSim a label. You can do so if you like. You can choose the preset labels ("business", "personal","secondary") or add your own.
9. Once finished, tap Done to finish the setup. Your eSIM will now be activated.

Final step - Activate roaming

1. Go to Settings > Mobile Data (or Cellular on some models).
2. Tap the eSim you just added
3. Scroll down and activate Data Roaming

1. The QR code we emailed you, open on another screen or printed. You cannot scan it from the same phone.
2. Your Android device connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network.

Scan the QR code

Menu names vary by manufacturer, so use whichever wording your phone shows:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Network & internet, or Connections on Samsung.
3. Tap SIMs, SIM manager, or Mobile network.
4. Tap Add eSIM, Add mobile plan, or the + beside your SIMs.
5. Choose Scan QR code.
6. Point the camera at the QR code.

Finish setup

1. Confirm when your phone asks to add the plan. Downloading it can take a minute.
2. Give the eSIM a label if prompted, for example "Travel".
3. Turn on Mobile data and Data roaming for the new eSIM.

No QR code option on your device? Use the manual SMDP+ steps below instead. Both methods install the same eSIM.

2. Navigate to Connections (or Network & Internet, depending on your device model).
3. Tap SIM card manager (or Mobile Network).
4. Select Add Mobile Plan or Add eSIM.
5. Choose the option to Enter details manually.
6. Input the SMDP+ address and activation code provided.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
8. Once finished, tap Done to complete the setup. Your eSIM will now be activated.

Final step - Activate roaming

1. Go to Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet).
2. Tap SIM card manager (or Mobile Network) and select the eSIM you just added.
3. Scroll down and toggle Data Roaming to ON. Don't worry, enabling roaming won't incur extra charges. Our eSIM is configured to use data only in its designated country, but this setting must be activated for the eSIM to work properly.

Once you've arrived at your destination

Set your new eSIM as the default for your internet connection:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Connections (or Network & Internet).
3. Tap SIM card manager (or Mobile Network).
4. Set the Preferred SIM for Mobile Data to the eSIM you just activated.

You're all set! Your eSIM is now ready to use.
