Which network will you use in Singapore?
Our current Singapore eSIM includes M1 and Singtel with 4G/5G access. Airalo lists those same networks; Nomad lists StarHub and Singtel, while Ubigi lists Simba and StarHub. For a city break, weigh the allowance, validity and setup alongside the network names. For 5G, you also need a compatible device and local 5G coverage.
Access to a carrier’s network does not mean access to every technology it offers. Actual speeds depend on your location, device and service conditions.
What is a fair price for a Singapore eSIM?
Our 3 GB/30-day pack costs $5.49 and suits a few days of city travel. At 1 GB and 10 GB, the price gap between us and Ubigi is just one cent when validity matches. Nomad costs less at 5 GB and 50 GB. For 20 GB, our $19.99 plan is the lowest at that size in this comparison; Ubigi offers 25 GB for $22 if you need the extra data.
| Allowance | Travelsim Asia | Worth a look |

| 1 GB | $2.99 / 7 days | Ubigi: $3.00 / 7 days |

How much data do you need for a Singapore visit?
For a three-to-five-day city break, start with 3 GB for maps, Grab, messages, tickets and some social use. A full week may call for 5 GB, or 10 GB if you expect more video or hotspot use. These estimates assume Wi-Fi handles large downloads and backups; a laptop using your phone’s connection needs its own share of the allowance.
| Your Singapore stay | Suggested starting point |
|---|---|
| A layover or one night, with light use | 1 GB |
| Three to five days of sightseeing | 3 GB |
| A week with regular browsing and photo sharing | 5 GB |
| More video, shared data or occasional laptop use | 10 GB or more |
Our Singapore data guide provides planning estimates, not measured customer averages. Check your phone or portal after the first day to see how your actual use compares.
Can you start small and top up in Singapore?
Yes. Every Singapore pack we sell supports adding data through your web portal, without installing another eSIM. For a short visit, that means you can begin with an allowance that fits your plans and buy more if you use it. Choose a larger pack upfront when you already expect regular hotspot work or video uploads.
Keep the portal link from your purchase email handy. A low cost per gigabyte on a large pack is only useful if you will use enough of the allowance.
Will a Singapore eSIM work in Malaysia too?
Our Singapore-only pack covers Singapore. If your trip includes Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur or Thailand, compare separate destination packs with a regional option that lists every stop. Buying extra Singapore data does not add another country to that pack’s coverage.
Check the regional plan’s destination list and validity before purchase. For a Singapore-only stay, the local pack keeps the choice straightforward.
How do you prepare your eSIM for arrival at Changi?
Before your flight, check that your phone accepts eSIMs from other providers. Buy your Singapore pack and follow the installation link or QR instructions in the email while connected to Wi-Fi. At Changi, turn on the Singapore line, make it your mobile-data line and enable roaming for that eSIM. Keep the email for your usage and top-up portal.
The Singapore pack is data-only, with no local phone number. Leave mobile-data switching and home-SIM data roaming disabled to keep data use on the travel line.
From a quick stopover to a longer Singapore stay, choose 1–50 GB and add data through your portal when needed.
