Being Globe-only also means the word unlimited stops wherever Globe's signal does, which you will notice on Siargao and in parts of Palawan. It can suit daily phone streaming inside Globe's strong areas. Hotspot sharing is limited to 1 GB/day, so compare a sufficient fixed allowance for heavier laptop use.

Nomad is the one to look at for big plans. It has the cheapest 20 GB and 50 GB, the lowest price per gigabyte on this page, and its plans last longer than anyone else's. It runs on Globe only and management uses an account, with QR installation available outside the app.

Which Philippines eSIM gives the best value?
Trip length and route decide it, so here it is by trip.
- A stopover or a few city days, 1 to 3 GB: our 1 GB at $2.99 is the cheapest way in. For a light week the 3 GB is $6.99 with us and $7.00 with Nomad, both for 30 days, and ours runs on both networks.
- One week of normal use, 5 GB: ours is $10.49 for 30 days, then Nomad at $11.00 and Saily at $11.99, all within a dollar and a half of each other, which is why the network is the better reason to pick between them. Ubigi has no 5 GB plan.
- Two weeks of island hopping, 10 GB: Travelsim Asia at $14.99 for 30 days, which is $1 to $4 under everyone else. This is also the trip where having both networks pays off, because two weeks of ferries will take you through places where Smart is the only signal and places where Globe is.
- A long stay or remote work, 20 GB and up: Nomad's 20 GB at $27.00 runs 45 days and is the cheapest and the longest. Ubigi's 25 GB at $29.00 gives the most data for the money in this range. Our 20 GB is $29.99, so on price alone those two beat us here.
- Heavy data, 50 GB: Nomad at $45.00 for 30 days, which is $0.90 per GB. Airalo and Ubigi both sell 50 GB at $48.00. We do not sell one for the Philippines.
Why the network behind the price matters here
In central Singapore or Malaysia’s main cities, price and setup are useful starting points, though local reception still varies. The Philippines is more than seven thousand islands and two networks that built out different ones. Smart is stronger in some places and Globe in others, and the pattern changes island by island, so the cheap plan on the wrong network can mean no signal at the guesthouse you booked for the view.
Airalo lists Smart; Nomad and Holafly list Globe; Ubigi lists Smart and DITO; Saily does not disclose its network. Travelsim Asia is the only provider in this comparison explicitly listing both Smart and Globe. That gives you another supported network to try if reception is poor. Compare the listed networks with your route as well as the plan price.
Unlimited vs fixed: which is better for the Philippines?
Fixed, for most people. Island Wi-Fi is too patchy to lean on, which sounds like a case for unlimited, but the maths does not work out: a week of Holafly is $27.50 and a 10 GB plan at $14.99 covers two weeks of heavy phone use. Unlimited earns its price if you tether a laptop every day or stream on cellular every evening, and for almost nobody else.

Hidden costs and things to check
- Airalo's cheap plans expire early. Its 1 GB is a 3-day plan and its 3 GB tops out at 7 days, where everyone else's 1 GB runs a week. On a ferry-hopping itinerary that runs over, you end up buying twice. Read the days before the price.
- Unlimited with a daily cap. Holafly also permits temporary fair-use speed reductions. The Airalo, Nomad and Ubigi unlimited tiers slow down after a daily or total allowance, so read the policy before you rely on one.
- The wrong network for your islands. The cheapest plan at your size may run on the network that is weak exactly where you are going. Buy for where you are going, not for the price tag.
